Aegean Spa Review

How we spend his birthday - (1)

First Word : Our Massage Experience at Aegean Spa.

Happy mid autumn festival everyone!
Babe and I just returned from a 14 hour day out!

It's the boy's birthday today and this is what we did together!

We had our favorite toast and egg breakfast down at 东亚 before taking a late morning stroll to Central for his birthday treat! - A couple massage down at Aegean Spa
A 60 minute session for both us set us back to a total of $160 nett, inclusive of the additional $30 that we paid to have a say over our choice of  massage oil and I must say it is very very well spent! Let me explain why.

The last time babe and I paid for a full body massage was at Montigo - Batam
The experience there was really awesome. : A view of the sea, fluffy white bathrobe, warm  foot bath and the couple room comes en-suite with our own shower facilities! Everything is just so tranquil and pretty. The only down-side of that experience was that we felt really oily even after we wipe off the excess oil.  I remember distinctively having to have a hot bath before heading out to dinner.

Down here at Aegean Spa, the couple room is not en-suite. ( There really isn't a need to since we are not having a body scrub etc). There's no bathrobe, no view, no foot bath with floating flower petals. It's just a very straightforward process. Strip, change, and lie down under the towel. ( Still very shy about this). BUT, I must emphasize that the skills of the masseuse is really good. Despite me requesting for a Swedish massage, she applies strokes characteristic of the Balinese massage on to areas which she feels that the Balinese strokes will be more helpful to my body.
They are definitely not pushy for us to add on any additional treatments like hot stones/sports massage. It was truly an enjoyable process. The best part of this massage is the after effect. We continued our day with lunch, soft ball and more walking without feeling uncomfortable! I truly believe that because we choose to top up our oil, the quality is better, and hence, as promised, 15 minutes after the massage, we no longer feel the stickiness of the massage oil. It was definitely fully absorbed by the body!

Overall, we really did enjoy the entire experience very much. It was simple, clean and straightforward and when we decline the offer to sign the package, they were very nice about it.  If you do not mind not having a nice view or nice decor, we would strongly recommend giving Aegean Spa a try!

As of now, B and I are pretty darn satisfied!

PS: We completed our morning with a healthy vegetarian lunch down at Real Foods.

Will talk a little more about the rest of our day in awhile! :)

Togi Korean Restaurant : 너밖에 없어.

Hi everyone,
we are really sorry for not updating as much as we want.
Too many things occupying our time, our minds and hearts,
not a valid reason because we ought to cherish our time doing things that we like. - eating, writing and sharing!

As a couple, we love food, love exploring new places together,
go on ridiculously long walks and watch plenty of movies.
we do not go where it is hip,
( we're really pretty traditional at heart)
we eat what we feel like at the moment and then start hunting.
Mostly, we do things spontaneously.:)

I'm sure many before us has already started on / watched " The return of superman"
If there is one thing that the return of superman influenced us, it will be to go and try korean cuisine and maybe.. start a family soon;)

Alright, so one fine saturday,(yesterday)
I decided that I have enough of working over the weekend,
and so I decided to go and try some Korean Food.
The thing is, we definitely am rookie in the field of  korean food and we are definitely not huge fan.
but this place really got us sold.

TOGI

First Word: Affordable, comfortable and contentment.

We wanted to try the army stew / seafood stew, but decided that if we are to order any one of the two, we won't be able to finish the food, and we really wanted to try as much as we could.!

and so we ordered 3 Main Dishes and 2 drinks, and it cost $65.

1. BanChan

First up, our complimentary side dishes. I love love love the porridge, kimchi, tuna salad, potato salad and everything else there! I wonder if they serve the porridge as a main dish.

2.Stir Fried Glass Noodles with Chicken

I've always wondered why do koreans like  glass noodles so much since it is very much like dong fen and is tasteless. Now I know, it's really pretty flavorful with a rich but not overpowering taste of sesame oil.

3. BBQ Pork Belly.

BBQ pork belly is the boy's favorite. and over here, they have it nicely grilled for us. So sweet and juicy! Perfect with the lettuce wrap.

4. Spicy Seafood Tofu Soup ( we requested for it to be less spicy)

and my favorite silken tofu stew. If you are wondering if it is yet another kimchi soup base, it is not!
Neither is it bean paste. It is just really tasty with just a hint of spiciness but more of the seafood sweetness.

In short, this place is just perfect for us coupled with the choice of alfresco dining. We will definitely be back for more and to try the stew with our friends. :)

love,

[ If 2014 taught me anything thus far,
it is to really live life everyday to the fullest,
give, expect nothing
forgive
let go
and cherish. ]
